European business urges EU leaders to find an agreement

On this fourth day of negotiations to find agreement on the EU recovery plan and the new long-term EU budget, BusinessEurope President Pierre Gattaz reiterated his call to find a suitable compromise: "I urge all European leaders to do their utmost and deliver an ambitious recovery plan. The future of millions of enterprises and employees is at stake. The European Union urgently needs an operational recovery plan boosting the earning and job-creation capacity of European companies to recover from this unprecedented crisis. Today is the time to send a strong signal to the European economy, to European society as a whole and to the rest of the world."
