Rotating EU presidency

The presidency of the different Council formations which negotiate and adopt EU laws rotates among the EU member states every six months. Within the long-term goals set by the three countries holding the presidency during a period of 18 months, each presidency prepares a detailed six-month programme.

At the beginning of each presidency, BusinessEurope presents its priorities for the semester during which the member state holding the EU presidency will lead the Council discussions.
