Coinciding with the organisation's 60th anniversary, BusinessEurope Day 2018 will be held on 1 March in Brussels. Donald Tusk, Jyrki Katainen and Michel Barnier among others will join this fourth edition, which will focus on the role of business in society. Europe is one of the best places in which to live, work and do business in the world. The European Union made this possible. Freedom of thought, speech, movement and enterprise within a borderless European single market is the foundation of our prosperity. The rule of law and social values are part of our European DNA. However, to defend our way of life, we must modernise our economic and social model. How can European policies support business so that it can play its role? How do companies answer different economic and social needs?
