for its Internal Market Department
You are experienced in EU affairs, dynamic, and tempted by a new challenge? You are interested in developing an ambitious plan to further develop the EU single market and to make the digital single market a reality? You think that the voice of European business has to be heard on those crucial issues? You are thrilled by the enormous potential lying in BusinessEurope’s network of 39 member federations in 34 countries, representing more than 20 million companies? You enjoy solution-oriented debates with high-level contacts in the EU institutions?
Then you could be the missing link in a dynamic team working for a stronger Europe with a dynamic single market.
The successful candidate for this post should have:
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including at least five years of management experience;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (native or equivalent) – good knowledge of French and German will be a plus;
- A relevant university degree;
- A convincing and outgoing personality;
- Excellent knowledge of single market policy, legislation and governance, including digital files;
- A proven record of successfully defining, coordinating and implementing an advocacy strategy on those issues;
- Good understanding of economic and business issues as well as of the functioning of business associations and of the EU institutions, preferably gained through some experience working in the EU institutions, a trade association or consultancy;
- Ability to contribute to overall strategic planning;
- Ability to translate complex issues into clear messages and adapt to the audience;
- Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to assimilate the various aspects of an issue rapidly;
- Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate an international network of experts;
- Excellent networking skills and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in IT tools.
