EU ETS reform must be a success for all covered sectors

Beyrer calls out the Environment Ministers meeting on 20 June 2016 in Luxembourg: The EU emission trading scheme (ETS) after 2020 should strike the right balance between ensuring liquidity with regard to the available auctioning volumes and providing the necessary volume of free allowances on the level of best performers to avoid carbon and investment leakage. This was stressed in a cross-industry statement published in advance of the Environment Ministers meeting.
