Experienced press officer for the Communications Department
BusinessEurope seeks to fill the following position:
Experienced press officer
for its Communications Department
Main tasks include:
- Assisting the Director of Communications in securing media attention for BusinessEurope’s issues and activities;
- Assisting the Director of Communications on BusinessEurope’s strategy vis-à-vis media partners;
- Establishing and maintaining contacts/network with Brussels-based international press;
- Organising press conferences and press events;
- Organising and preparing interviews for BusinessEurope’s President and Director General;
- Drafting press releases, press articles and speeches;
- Organising press activities linked to BusinessEurope’s events including media partnerships.
Candidates for this post should have the following profile:
- You have a university degree in political or social sciences or in communication;
- You have several years of professional experience reporting on European affairs;
- You have experience in communication for stakeholders in Brussels with a proven track record;
- You have experience and a proven record in drafting press releases, press articles and speeches;
- You have a perfect understanding of the functioning of EU institutions;
- You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to assimilate various aspects of an issue rapidly;
- You have good verbal and written communication skills;
- You have a perfect written and spoken command of English and a good knowledge of French;
- You are proficient in IT tools (MS Office and Internet);
- You have a dynamic personality and are capable of working in a team;
- You are well organised, flexible and able to work under pressure.
