Last EU Council before elections must yield results

BUSINESSEUROPE today published its statement to the Spring EU Council, which takes place later this week. Highlighting the need for action on a number of issues key to business, President Emma Marcegaglia said: “This is the last EU Council meeting before the European Parliament elections. We want to see results from this Council, announcements that will actually make a difference. Too many critical issues that impact the performance of our economy are unresolved. This Council should take action to minimise uncertainty and pave the way for an industrial renaissance in Europe as we move into the electoral period.”
