Following the agreement reached by the European Council on the EU recovery plan and the new long-term EU budget, BusinessEurope President Pierre Gattaz said: "The fact that the European Council reached agreement on the European recovery plan as well as on its long-term budget is excellent news. One can always regret one or the other aspect but the urgency was to reach agreement in order to be able to move forward with concrete measures supporting the recovery. BusinessEurope will follow the implementation of both the financial and non-financial aspects of this plan very carefully to make sure that the money is well spent."
