MEDEF Summer University "Confidence and growth, France is the future!"

“Confidence and growth, France is the future!” was the theme of this year’s Summer University of MEDEF – BusinessEurope’s French member association. The Summer University took place on 29-30 August 2017 at the campus of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris. BusinessEurope Director General Markus J. Beyrer present at the event commented: “The theme of the event reflects the current positive and action-oriented spirit of the European business community. Today both business confidence and economic indicators point to an improvement and also investment is picking up. To sustain this trend all EU countries need to continue efforts to implement structural reforms, and strengthen public finances to put Europe back on a higher long-term growth and job creation path. The French reform plans are, not the least due to their political weight, a strong signal for the whole Europe and their success will be of crucial importance to spark this dynamic across the Union.”
