How can Europe prosper?

Speaking at this year's edition of the Alpbach Economic Symposium, BUSINESSEUROPE’s Director General Markus J. Beyrer argued that, for Europe to prosper, the EU institutions must as a first step reinforce their focus on competitiveness and overcome Europe’s risk aversion to unleash its considerable innovation capacity. He sat on a high-level panel with Pascal Lamy (Notre Europe), Jan Muehlfeit (Microsoft), Bernadette Ségol (ETUC) and Ulrike Lunacek, Vice-President of the European Parliament.
