Capital Markets Union: Translate initiatives into concrete steps to boost investment

Following the release today of the European Commission’s Capital Markets Union Green Paper, BUSINESSEUROPE Director General Markus J. Beyrer said: 'Encouraging investment, through improving access to finance for businesses is a key challenge for Europe. We welcome many of the initiatives set out in the Commission’s paper, including unlocking alternatives to bank finance, such as equity, corporate bonds and venture capital, and are ready to work with the Commission in translating them into concrete steps to boost business investment, growth and jobs.'
