20th European Corporate Governance Conference
The 20th European Corporate Governance Conference is endorsed by the Ministry for Finance under the auspices of the Malta Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The overall theme of the conference this year will be around "Innovation and Digitalisation in Company Law" and their impact on the wider corporate governance debate. The conference will take place on Thursday, May 4 2017 in St. Julian’s, Malta.
The conference will bring together decision-makers from the public and private sectors to discuss recent changes in corporate governance in the global context, in relation to capital markets transparency, ongoing improvements, and the digitalisation processes of the governance as an advantage across the European Union. The programme will include both plenary presentations and panel debates around recent developments in the field of corporate governance at an international level, emerging trends and innovations in the use of digitalisation as well as topical issues for investors, Boards and audit committees. Speakers will include high-level representatives from the Malta government and the European Commission as well as investors, Board members, audit committee chairs, regulators and other individuals from the private and public sectors.
