As Adviser on research projects in BusinessEurope's Social Affairs department, Haya Al-Ajlani is responsible for leading studies on key topics in the European social policy landscape. Prior to joining BusinessEurope, Haya worked as a consultant at Ecorys, Brussels, where she carried out research conducted on behalf of the European Commission. Her prior experience also includes working at the OECD’s Statistics and Data Directorate where she focused on issues relevant to measuring well-being. Haya holds a doctorate degree in economics from Ghent University, where she serves as a guest lecturer. Haya is bilingual in English and Arabic and has a very good knowledge of French and Dutch.
